Responsible Leadership - 3 days

Responsible Leadership
Leading Beyond Borders – Building Trust Across Cultures

Course structure and learning objectives

In today’s interconnected and rapidly changing world, leadership responsibility extends far beyond achieving financial results. It further includes how leaders navigate complexity, provide orientation and meaning in transformation, and contribute to the well-being of people, organizations, and society.

In our 3-day workshop “Responsible Leadership” we are addressing subtle yet significant challenges in intercultural communication. Different social values, communication styles, and “unknown” behavioral codes can easily lead to misunderstandings and even long-lasting conflicts. Collaborations can fail to start or projects are discontinued altogether because expectations remain unspoken, misaligned, or misinterpreted.

This workshop invites leaders to explore what it means to lead responsibly, consciously, and inclusively in transcultural, diverse, and multi-stakeholder environments. Participants will examine how personal values, cultural context, and organizational purpose interact in shaping their leadership decisions, relationships, and impact

Participants will learn to:
•    Balance authenticity and adaptability when leading across cultures
•    Build transcultural sensitivity through understanding high- and low-context communication styles as well as dimensions of cultures
•    Communicate with empathy, respect, and integrity in diverse contexts
•    Recognize and address unconscious biases, using bias management tools for inclusive leadership
•    Use coaching as a leadership tool to empower others, strengthen reflective practices, and enhance innovation
•    Intentionally foster value-driven, diverse, and psychologically safe organizational cultures

This course can also be chosen as one of the required Deep Dive Workshops of the Advanced Management Program (Curriculum Track).
